The XVIII International Congress on Graphic Expression Applied to Building APEGA 2027 will be held in Burgos on September 30 and October 1–2, 2027 at the Escuela Politécnica Superior de la Universidad de Burgos, on the Milanera Campus.

The Department of Graphic Expression of the University of Burgos is responsible for organising this edition of the APEGA 2027 International Congress and encourages academic staff and researchers in the field of Graphic Expression Applied to Building, from national and international universities, to participate by submitting papers and attending the congress in person.

The topic for this edition of the congress is Techniques and Territories of Drawing structured around three thematic areas for paper submissions:

• Line 1. Teaching Drawing: methodologies and educational experiences
• Line 2. Drawing as a discipline for analysis, representation and creation
• Line 3. Drawing in research and dissemination of knowledge to society

The papers will deal with one or more topics within the field of Architectural Graphic Expression, for example:

• Architectural survey
• Photogrammetry, 3D laser scanning
• Drawing in Building History
• Architectural building design
• Landscape, urban environment, public space
• BIM Modelling, Digital Twins
• Graphic Data Communication
• Virtual reality and augmented reality
• Parametric design, digital fabrication, 3D printing
• Models, prototypes
• GIS, Remote sensing
• Graphic communication, digital tools, Artificial Intelligence
• Visual culture, art, design

The proceedings book, with ISBN and DOI, will be published in digital format on the portal of the Publications and Institutional Image Service and in the Digital Repository of the University of Burgos in open access, and may be downloaded free of charge.

For each registration, each author may present a maximum of three papers.

In connection with the XVIII International Congress on Graphic Expression Applied to Building Construction APEGA 2027, the Juan Manuel Raya Awards are announced to recognise the best educational and research works in the field of Graphic Expression Applied to Building presented at the Edigráfica 2027 exhibition.

The Edigráfica 2027 catalogue, with ISBN and DOI, will be published in digital format on the portal of the Publications and Institutional Image Service and in the Digital Repository of the University of Burgos in open access, and may be downloaded free of charge.
