PRESENTATION

The 1st International Congress on Cerebral Palsy (COPACE) will be held in Burgos with the aim of becoming a global meeting point for professionals, families, researchers, and people with cerebral palsy. This multidisciplinary, innovative, and collaborative event seeks to foster the exchange of up-to-date knowledge, promote best practices, and generate synergies across different areas of care, research, and social inclusion.

Throughout the congress, clinical, therapeutic, educational, social, and legal aspects related to cerebral palsy will be addressed from a scientific, human, and inclusive perspective. In addition, the event will encourage reflection and dialogue among national and international experts with extensive experience in the field.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

To promote a space for debate, training, and knowledge transfer that contributes to the comprehensive improvement of the quality of life of people with cerebral palsy and their families, fostering international collaboration among professionals from different disciplines and the social environment.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

  • To encourage the exchange of knowledge among professionals, researchers, social organizations, and people with cerebral palsy at national and international levels.
  • To share innovative experiences and intervention models that contribute to improving care and support throughout the life cycle.
  • To disseminate the most recent advances in clinical, therapeutic, educational, and social research in the field of cerebral palsy.
  • To promote the transfer of scientific knowledge to professional practice and real intervention contexts.
🤝 Multidisciplinary Approach and Networking 🧩 Quality of Life, Inclusion, and Rights
  • To promote a comprehensive and multidisciplinary view of cerebral palsy that integrates healthcare, educational, social, and community settings.
  • To foster the creation of collaborative networks among institutions, universities, associations, and professionals.
  • To reflect on strategies that promote autonomy, social participation, and quality of life for people with cerebral palsy.
  • To strengthen a rights-based approach, inclusion, and universal accessibility in all areas of life.
👥 Active Participation of People and Families 🎓 Training and Professional Development
  • To highlight the active role of people with cerebral palsy and their families as protagonists of their own life projects.
  • To incorporate their voices and experiences into the design of supports, services, and public policies.
  • To contribute to the updating and continuous training of professionals through high-quality, scientifically rigorous content.
