How to travel from these airports to Burgos

From Vitoria Airport (VIT)
No direct train to Burgos. You need to reach Vitoria-Gasteiz city center by taxi/bus, then continue by bus or train to Burgos. This route generally requires a change and timetable coordination.

From Bilbao Airport (BIO)
Take Bizkaibus line A3247 from the airport to Bilbao Intermodal Station (Termibus), which operates every 20–30 minutes from early morning until midnight. From Bilbao Intermodal Station, take a direct bus (ALSA) to Burgos. The trip is frequent and takes about 2–3 hours.
Alternatively, from Bilbao Abando Indalecio Prieto train station, you can take a train to Burgos-Rosa de Lima station. Schedules and tickets via RENFE.

Take a bus from the airport to Santander bus station, then an ALSA bus directly to Burgos. Bus is generally recommended due to limited direct train services on this route.

The most common route is by train: take the Cercanías commuter train (Line C1 or C10) from the airport to Madrid-Chamartín station. Then, take an Alvia or Intercity train direct to Burgos. The total trip takes about 3 hours.
Alternatively, ALSA buses from Madrid Barajas to Burgos are available and may be cheaper though slightly longer. The best point of this option is that there is a bus stop just at Madrid Barajas Airport, Terminal 4. A free shuttle bus connects the airport's four terminals, departing every few minutes.

In Burgos
